Cat#:PA-1536F;Product Name:Mouse Anti-Human LAMC2 Antibody;Synonym:BM600; E170; EBR2A; Epiligrin 170 kDa subunit; Epiligrin subunit alpha; Kalinin subunit alpha; LAMB2T; LAMC2; Laminin gamma 2; Laminin 5 gamma 2 subunit; Laminin gamma 2 chain; Laminin subunit gamma 2; Laminin-5 subunit alpha; Laminin5; LAMNA; LAMNB2; LOCS; MGC138491; MGC141938; Nicein subunit alpha; Epiligrin; nicein; Kalinin; laminin subunit gamma-2; BM600-100kDa; laminin B2t chain; OTTHUMP00000033550; kalinin (105kD); OTTHUMP00000230852; CSF 140 kDa subunit; nicein subunit gamma; kalinin subunit gamma; ladsin 140 kDa subunit; epiligrin subunit gamma; cell-scattering factor 140 kDa subunit; large adhesive scatter factor 140 kDa subunit; B2T; CSF; EBR2; BM600; EBR2A; LAMNB2; ladsin (140kDa); nicein (100kDa); Kalinin/nicein/epiligrin 100 kDa subunit; Laminin-5 subunit gamma; Laminin-5, Gamma-2 Chain;Background:Laminins are large heterotrimeric basement membrane glycoproteins composed of an α, a β and a γ chain. At present five α chains, three β chains, and three γ chains are known to form at least 15 different isoforms. The laminin-5 protein, consisting of the α3, β3 and γ2 chains, is initially synthesized as a 460 kDa precursor, which undergoes specific proteolytic processing to a smaller form after secretion into the extracellular matrix. Laminin-5 γ2 chain is a unique isoform as the expression of its subunits is restricted to epithelial tissues, where it is part of the epithelial anchoring system and cell locomotion. Laminin-5 γ2 chain protein is essential for the adhesion of basal keratinocytes to the underlying basement membrane, functioning as an adhesion ligand for the integrins α3β1, α6β1 and α6β4. Accumulating data suggest increased laminin-5 γ2 chain protein expression in a number of different human carcinomas, with its expression being characteristic of cancer cells with a budding cell phenotype. Several studies indicate that laminin-5 γ2 chain protein expression can serve as a marker for invasive cancer in various types of squamous cell carcinomas, colon adenocarcinomas, and lung adenocarcinomas.;Description:Mouse Anti-Human LAMC2 Monoclonal Antibody;Host Species:Mouse;Species Reactivity:Human;Clone#:4H2;Isotype:IgG1, kappa;Application:IHC;Storage:Store antibody products at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles;Usage:For Lab Research Use Only;
