Cat#:EIA-537C;Product Name:Human Fetal Hemoglobin ELISA Set;Size:1000 wells;Sample:serum;Intended use:RUO;Synonym:A gamma globin; G gamma globin; Gamma 1 globin; Gamma 2 globin; Gamma A hemoglobin; Gamma globin; Hb F Agamma; Hb F Ggamma; hbfagamma; hbfggamma; HBG 1; HBG 2; HBG1; HBG2; HBGA; HBGR; Hemoglobin gamma 1 chain; Hemoglobin gamma 2 chain; Hemoglobin gamma A; Hemoglobin gamma A chain; Hemoglobin gamma G; Hemoglobin gamma G chain; Hemoglobin gamma regulator of; Hemoglobin subunit gamma 1; Hemoglobin subunit gamma 2; HSGGL 1; HSGGL1; Methemoglobin; PRO 2979; PRO2979;Background:Fetal hemoglobin, or foetal haemoglobin, (also hemoglobin F or HbF) is the main oxygen transport protein in the fetus during the last seven months of development in the uterus and in the newborn until roughly 6 months old. Functionally, fetal hemoglobin differs most from adult hemoglobin in that it is able to bind oxygen with greater affinity than the adult form, giving the developing fetus better access to oxygen from the mother's bloodstream. In newborns, fetal hemoglobin is nearly completely replaced by adult hemoglobin by approximately the twelfth week of postnatal life. In adults, fetal hemoglobin production can be reactivated pharmacologically, which is useful in the treatment of diseases such as sickle-cell disease.;Species Reactivity:Human;Application:quantitate;Storage:Unopened Kit: Store at 2 - 8°C. Do not use past kit expiration date. Opened/Reconstituted Reagents: TMB Solution A; TMB Solution B; TMB Stop Solution; Wash Buffer; HRP-conjugate antibody The above mentioned reagents should be stored for up to 1 month at 2 - 8°C. Microplate Wells: Return unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack, reseal along entire edge of zip-seal. May be stored for up to 1 month at 2 - 8°C.;Usage:For Lab Research Use Only;Detection Principle:Sandwich ELISA;
