Cat#:PA-947F;Product Name:Rabbit Anti-L.phenylalanine Antibody;Synonym:L.phenylalanine; L(-)-PHENYLALANINE; L-PHENYLALANINE; L-PHE; BETA-PHENYLALANINE; DL-2-AMINO-3-PHENYLPROPANOIC ACID; L-ALPHA-AMINO-BETA-PHENYLPROPIONIC ACID; L-BETA-PHENYLALANINE; L-2-AMINO-3-PHENYLPROPANOIC ACID; L-2-AMINO-3-PHENYLPROPIONIC ACID; L-A-AMINOHYDROCINNAMIC ACID; H-PHE-OH; H-L-PHE-OH; FEMA 3585; ALPHA-AMINO-BETA-PHENYL PROPIONIC ACID; PHE; L.phenylalanine; L-Phenylalanin; L-α-Amino-β-phenyl-propionsαure; Phenylalamine; Phenylalanin; phenyl-alanin; Phenyl-alpha-alanine; phenyl-l-alanin;Background:Phenylalanine is the most commonly found aromatic, essential amino acid. In a normal individual it is converted to tyrosine, which in turn is used to synthesise dopamine and norepinephrine (nerurotransmitters). Phenylalanine takes three differnt forms; L-, D- and DL-. The L- form is the most common and the type in which it is incorporated into the body's proteins. The D- form acts as a painkiller and the DL- a combination of the two. Phenylalanine is used to elevate mood as it is involved with the nervous system, it can also aid memory and learning and can been used as an appetite suppressant. Treatment with phenylalanine can be benificial in sufferes of Parkinson's disease, to treat depression and the D form may also be helpful in the treatment of chronic pain in both osteo-arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.;Description:Rabbit Anti-L.phenylalanine Polyclonal Antibody;Host Species:Rabbit;Storage:Store antibody products at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles;Usage:For Lab Research Use Only;
