Cat#:PA-3505F;Product Name:Mouse Anti-Human CDH2 Antibody;Synonym:CDH2; CDHN; NCAD; CD325; CDw325; cadherin-2; N-cadherin 1; neural cadherin; neural-cadherin; OTTHUMP00000066304; OTTHUMP00000067378; cadherin 2, N-cadherin (neuronal); calcium-dependent adhesion protein, neuronal;Background:N-cadherin is a 140 kD protein that belongs to a family of transmembrane molecules that mediate calcium-dependent intercellular adhesion.Cadherins are involved in controlling morphogenetic movements during development and regulate cell surface adhesion through homotypicadhesion with the same cadherin species. N-cadherin’s function is dependent on its association with the actin-cytoskeleton, which ismediated through interactions between the C-terminal region of N-cadherin and the cytoplasmic catenin proteins. The stability of thisassociation is regulated by phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of β-catenin. Expression of N-cadherin has been reported on a variety of normal tissues including neuronal, endothelial and muscle cells and asubpopulation of early hematopoietic progenitor cells. Among neoplastic tissues, N-cadherin expression has been demonstrated inmalignant noncarcinomatous neoplasms including mesotheliomas, chordomas, synovial sarcomas, malignant melanomas, epitheliodsarcomas, epitheliod angiosarcomas and clear cell sarcomas. Serous and endometrioid tumors of the ovary have been demonstrated to beN-cadherin positive whereas mucinous tumors are negative. Other N-cadherin positive neoplasms include renal cell carcinomas and somevariant breast tumors including medullary breast carcinomas and sarcomatoid metaplastic breast carcinomas.;Description:Mouse Anti-Human CDH2 Monoclonal Antibody;Host Species:Mouse;Species Reactivity:Human;Clone#:6G22;Isotype:IgG1, kappa;Application:IHC;Storage:Store antibody products at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles;Usage:For Lab Research Use Only;
